Mel Gibson Case: Really Freaking Complicated!

The Sheriff's Department's investigation is over, but sources say the Mel Gibson case is not heading toward a resolution, or even a decision on charges, soon.<br />The L.A. County D.A. will not make a quick decision on <a href="http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/2011/02/oksana-grigorieva-case-fate-now-with-da/">whether to charge</a> Mel and/or Oksana Grigorieva with a crime, at least not this week. TMZ reports.<br />The reason? County Sheriff's Dept. turned over a full report on the Oksana Grigorieva extortion investigation. There are two separate investigations in play, too.<br />Because of the alleged extortion, the <a href="http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/2010/07/mel-gibson-tapes-evidence-tampering-editing-oksana-grigorieva/">Mel Gibson tapes</a>, her accusation of domestic abuse and myriad custody issues, the report will take time to digest.<br />The D.A. has said they will make a decision on whether to file criminal charges as a package, but that the decision absolutely will not be made this week.
