It's not cool to like rock music these days, and I think that's really cool. That's where we are.'<br /><br />Lead singer Gerard Way ' who makes up the band alongside his brother Mikey and Frank Iero ' said he feels in recent times hip hop, in particular Kanye West, has made existing rockers look foolish. <br /><br />He explained: 'You saw Kanye do this amazing record and making videos that are really f***ing artistic. Whereas pop was usually a throwaway thing, you had somebody who gave a s**t and took a chance, so in some ways that makes a bunch of guys standing around with instruments look really foolish. <br /><br />'Especially ones who aren't trying to say anything.'<br /><br />My Chemical Romance's 'Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys' album is out now, and the group are presently on tour in Europe.</span></div>
